Yaktrax is the original footwear traction brand, and we have been obsessed with developing outdoor movement solutions since 1985. Our founder was inspired by the confidence of an intrepid mountaineering guide striding across the snowpacked, ice-covered terrain of Mt. Everest. Our patented coil technology led to the first-ever commercially available, non-spike-based footwear traction enhancement product. Since then, we have strived to empower everyone with the ability to confidently navigate the effects of snow, ice, slush, and other challenging terrain.
