Care Plus™ has been a market leader in insect repellents in Europe for over 25 years. This respected brand is now available in Canada. Icaridin, also known as Picaridin, is the active ingredient in Care Plus™. It is a synthetic replica of the natural compound piperine, found in pepper plants. Developed by Bayer in the 1980s and used very successful in Europe, Icaridin first entered the U.S. market in 2005. It has been licensed in Canada since 2012.
Icaridin is highly effective in repelling biting insects - up to 12 hours for mosquitos and ticks and up to 10 hours for blackflies, while also being DEET-free, and gentle for the whole family.

Now also available in a lemon eucalyptus formula called Citriodiol which repels mosquitoes for 4-6 hours and ticks for up to 5. Safe for all ages.
